Task 5: My digital Collage......

Above is a digital collage which I have created with Picasa 3, which is a simple, fast and easy-to-use picture organizing application with lots of useful functions. Some of the websites which I have obtained the logos from are Facebook, Twitter, Dictionary.com and Google Images. My favourite application in this collage is Facebook as it allows me not only to chat with my friends, but also play games together with my friends online and many, many more. Looking at my friends' profile which they have written let me know a lot more about them. Facebook lets me communicate and share with my friends and teachers online a lot more simpler, fast and fun.

Task 4: Participating in a Discussion Group

I have explored Google Groups and learned how to share my views and suggestions on topics put up by others.

Task 3: Let's tweet!

I have learned how to follow peoples and be followed using Twitter. I have also followed "SSTSingapore" which is the official twitter account from SST. I would now be able to receive updates and Tweets posted by my teachers and be informed about the current events happening at SST......

Task 2(a): How to drive to SST from my home......

The above picture and map is the suggested route provided by Google maps to get from my home to SST.Apart from the suggested routes, Google Maps provide information of the current traffic conditions and the time taken for me to travel from my home to SST which helps me to plan my journey to school.I think that the information provided by Google Maps is very useful and reliable. The directions are very accurate and the time provided is also quite close to the actual time taken for me to travel by car from my home to SST.

Task 1(b): My experience in creating this blog......

As this was not the first time I created a blog, it was not difficult at all. However, I still enjoyed the process of creating this blog and the posts. I enjoyed searching for the blogs background, searching for suitable musics and creating the posts.
Blogging can be part of my learning experience in SST as by posting comments and posts, we get to communicate with each other and get to know more about other students' and teachers' views and thoughts. We could also remind our classmates of upcoming events so that they do not forget it or even chat online with our classmates to exchange knowledge of what we know about a certain topic.

Task 1(a): Confirmation letter......

The picture on the left shows how I felt and how I reacted when I opened the confirmation letter. My family was beside me when I opened the letter as everybody was eager to know if I was posted to SST. I opened the letter, " Confirmed offer under direct school admission-secondary for admission to SST in 2010, congratulations!" Immediately, a big wide smile was seen on my face by my family. I started jumping around the house, screaming.
I was overjoyed and on cloud nine as what I thought (I did not got posted to SST), did not happenned. However, that is not the end...... I still have to be eligible to attend the Express course based on my PSLE results. I worked hard for my PSLE, hoping to get good results......
